Rush of the City

I've always wanted to go to the next stage of my life
Dream, hustle, check, and move ; dream, hustle, check, and move
This eagerness to grow up, to learn, to experiment
I don't even know what and to whom was I trying to prove!

Following my dreams, wherever they took me
I wandered new lands, new souls, new roles
Change wasn't the only constant, my ambition was my north star
Watching over me in my sprint for my goals

The road trip passed through a vibrant city
Its been at the same place since ages, yet people say its running
The magnificent stationary bridges, on it the speeding cars
Witnessing the ever evolving meaning of love, is the skyline aging

It's quite strange, now that I think about it
After a tiring day, I'd pick the longest possible walk back home
Not caring about the heap of work awaiting me, I'd stroll along the river
Passing countless red buses, new shiny skyscrapers, and the historic dome

The place which doesn't sleep helped me find my stillness
The rush of the city taught me calmness
